More Seeds To Seed

March 1, not February anymore, spring must come at some point. Started a few Prilep 66-9/7 seeds in addition, from plants grown in 2014. Tried to keep them warm all the time, far above 20 degrees Celsius. While one shouldn’t be so impatient, 6 days later not much of a sign of life (but not looking dead neither). Others had the first germination signs after 3-4 days, but remember them more stubborn myself.

Got in addition organic seeds for edible flowers, i.e. edible Chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum coronarium) and Indian cress (Tropaeolum majus) plus some Red Kuri squash. But there’s still time before these have to go into the ground.

Update: Only one little Prilep plant so far showing on Mar 13, those seed pods seem to have a bad germination rate. Or are they taking longer than the usual 4-5 days?

Update: On Mar 17/18 it looks like there’s life in more of them – at least the radicle is visible on quite a few. Since the first seed germinated, the box is under light, not anymore kept very warm on top of it.

Update Mar 21: Spring! (At least that’s what the calendar says). And just in time, surprise, surprise, masses of seedling popped up. After 3 weeks in the grow box. Germination rate is, after all, rather good. Now they are growing fast.
